Community Support

Since being founded in 2007, Sunshine Coast Radiology has adopted a core value to always be looking for avenues to become involved and give back to our local community. The team at Sunshine Coast Radiology represent many organisations, charities and sporting teams throughout the Queensland and collectively as a team, we are very proud to provide our assistance to the community.
At Sunshine Coast Radiology one of our core values is to continually look for ways in which we can become involved and give back to our local community. This support and involvement ranges from sport, community groups and charities. The associations we currently support are:

1. Sunshine Coast Tennis league

Sunshine Coast Radiology proudly sponsors Sunshine Coast Tennis League 2016. Round 1 got off to a great start on the weekend at Coolum Tennis Club! You can catch Round 2 at Nambour & District Tennis Association this Saturday, 20 August from 11am. Round 3 is in Coolum tennis club on Saturday 3rd of October. Round four is in Mooloolaba Tennis Club on Sunday 9th of October. Final is in Sunshine Coast Regional Tennis Centre, Caloundra on Saturday 15th of October 2016.

2. Sunshine Coast 7 Marathon

Thank you and WELL DONE to Team SCR running the 10km and 5km events at the Sunshine Coast Marathon & Community Fun Run! Congratulations to everyone who took part and all the fundraising efforts for the charities in need.


3. Wishlist

Sunshine Coast Radiology is proudly sponsoring wishlist foundation.
Wishlist is the Sunshine Coast’s Health Foundation and their purpose is to support the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service by engaging the community to help fund new and upgraded medical equipment, service support projects, education scholarships and research funding.

Since 1998, Wishlist, with the help of a generous and committed community, has directed more than $11 million towards supporting the Coast’s health system. Wishlist raises funds in a number of ways including events, fundraising campaigns and corporate partnerships.

4- Cancer Council pink October

Cancer Council raises funds to help support the many thousands of women in Australia and their families who are affected by breast and gynaecological cancers. So Cancer Council can provide vital research, patient support, information for health care professionals and patients, prevention, treatment and advocacy.

5- Asia‐Pacific Tennis League

About the Asia­‐Pacific Tennis League  is a unique, fast‐paced and innovative team tennis competition played across Australia. Professional players, Australia’s leading juniors and some of the greats of the game feature in this year’s ATL team line‐ups.


6. Jeans for Genes

Jeans for Genes Day is a national day when people wear their jeans to raise much-needed funds for research into birth defects and diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, and a range of genetic disorders. On the first Friday in August each year workplaces, schools and streets become a sea of denim in a united stance against childhood disease. This year, it will be held on Friday 7th August 2015.
Every dollar raised on the day helps scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute discover treatments and cures, to give every child the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.


7. Sunshine Coast Oncology Seminars

Sunshine Coast Oncology Seminars (SCOS) provides educational seminars to medical practitioners (general practitioners and specialist practitioners) in the field of oncology – medical oncology, radiation oncology, and associated fields of practice.
The purpose of these seminars is to provide a platform to enhance the knowledge of oncology related topics within the local medical community to improve cancer patient care. Seminars are held at least 4 times a year.


8. Supporting Schools' Work Experience

Sunshine Coast Radiology proudly is supporting Year 10 work experience program.
The work experience process is a crucial part of a student's schooling and students from different schools are supported here in Sunshine Coast Radiology learning more about our medical imaging services. St John's College School and Suncoast Christian College's students had a worthwhile work experience here in our organisation.
